Full of bugs. Purchased upgrade and simply does not work. Deleted and reinstalled trying to fix. No way to restore purchase. Submitted for refund. Great potential if all its problems are resolved. Link to ask for support does not work either.

No one from this company has responded to my inquiries/emails. I got a new phone because my old one (iPhone 13) died, won’t charge, power on, etc. All of my recordings were supposed to be synced/saved to my iCloud, but when I set up my new phone—absolutely none of my recordings are available within the app on my new iPhone 14. It’s as if I never recorded anything at all. It’s completely blank and empty.

Needs a sorting option. Chronological or by title.

I recorded something important to share with my family, but it was longer than 5 minutes. The app said I have to upgrade in order to share it, but it won’t let me upgrade. So I can’t access my recording. I’ve used this app 1 million times. What the heck happened?

I love this app and use it often. However, there are a few challenges such as how files are listed and cannot be sorted. It makes it a challenge to find certain recordings. Also if a file is mistakenly deleted there has to be a fail-safe put in place to retrieve the file; especially since the app will sort the files in a random manner. Other than that, the app is easy to use and recommended.

Suddenly all of my recordings show 00:00. No clue why this happened. The support page for this app is non existent, I go to submit a ticket and it ends up on a strange third party site. At least 4 years worth of recordings gone!!! Do not use this app 😭😭

Not only is there no trash folder, but it’s impossible to recover files accidentally deleted by swiping. Who’s brains behind this smart idea? They have no business developing apps. This is an issue that should have been fixed long ago

I have recorded several things. Then i turn around and they have disappeared! I have nothing on there now my entire list is gone snd no way i can figure if how the retrieve anything! Would not recommend this to anyone!

I have many recordings, but any time if I have to replay something really quick may be on 1.5 x it doesn’t support and that becomes really a pain

I have my QuickVoice account setup to sync to my iCloud, however since the update all my voice memos have disappeared and although my iCloud shows that I have 480.6 MB it won’t add them into the app on my iPhone 12 Pro nor my iPad Pro using iOS 15.1.

GIVE US THE ABILITY TO RESCUE RECORDINGS FROM THE TRASH CAN!! I have accidentally deleted several important recordings, and there is no way to get them back. The app doesn’t even ask you to confirm before you delete something! This is a serious issue.

I used to love this app. It was very easy to use and have had it for many years. I used it to record songs that I may thing of at the moment but can”t write them down or just need to remember the melody and other things. After years of recording that I only have on this app, I realized that it erased all of my content. Even if you have back up to iCloud on, it will still erase your memos/recording. Super disappointed. I’ve lost priceless recordings.

I’m posting this hoping the developer sees this. I tried to contact through the website, and it goes to a page saying the website is for sale when you submit the form. (Although oddly it’s a different website address with a dash). Previous rating was 5 stars. I’ve used this since probably since 2012. Easy for a quick recording and does well recording voice, choir, and pipe organ performances. Can choose high quality setting and email to self easily. PROBLEM: suddenly in the last couple months, it deleted all of my recordings going back 8 YEARS!!! OMG. ALL GONE. 😭 — and it seems the software is deleting my files every single night. — this is why I tried to contact the developer to see if there’s a setting I need to change which I couldn’t find in my iPhone/QuickVoice settings. Sadly, I think I’m going to have to find a new recorder. But honestly it might be for the best since there was no sorting feature in this and it would organize it haphazardly not even in chronological order. Bummed. Ps. I have iPhone 10 with updated software. And it worked great on my iPhone 6.

Reading previous reviews and I can see I’m not the only with this issue and I will be reaching out to apple for a refund for paying for the iCloud feature Idc if it’s been over a year, it clearly doesn’t work and there’s no one to get in contact with. Last app update 7 months ago. I’ve had the QuickVoice app on my iphone for years. I have the iCloud feature turned on in Settings in the app. In my iCloud settings the QuickVoice app is turned on to backup the info on the app and I had to pay for this feature to be able to back up all my years worth of recordings. Now on my new iPhone after restoring from a backup 4 different times and transferring data from my old iPhone, the app is not showing any of my previous recordings and it doesn’t show they are loading. I even recorded a test record and it did show. I’m currently using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. My old iPhone is an iPhone XS Max and before that it was an iPhone 6 Plus and an iPhone 4. That’s how long I’ve been using this app

Out of nowhere all my recordings deleted. Thus has happened on multiple occasions but they always came back within a day or so. It’s been 4 weeks and none of my recordings came back. 💔

From 2015 sometime up until yesterday, I used this app to record my writing and song ideas when they would randomly come to me when I didn’t have time to write or type them in notes. And it’s been great! Well the other day I upgraded to Pro and had emailed the app support team to try and retrieve an accidentally deleted sound clip but the email I didn’t think went through (because I got a message afterwards saying, “this domain is for sale”. But now I’m guessing it did go through because they have now deleted everyone of my voice memos and IAM LIVID!! I assume no one is going to be able to help me with this either since the app has no one tending to it now, even tho it has an update showing 3 months ago AND they still allow you to purchase PRO, which is stealing!! Also it’s very easy to delete a clipby accident, they need to fix this.)

I have purchased this app since Dec 2018 with 0.99 $ I use it to record very important event, I stored all the record in the I could but I could not retrieve them right now, I’m so frustrated from this app

I had about five years’ worth of memos. When I opened the app a week ago, they had all disappeared. I thought it was an issue with iOS updates, but it wasn’t. This app has no support, either. I tried to email them via their website and after hitting submit, I was taken to a page whose domain is for sale. I am livid. I had irreplaceable memos on their from a time before I lost my voice. I will never get my voice back and it is looking like I’ll never recover these memos either. I had about 60 saved and they will not load from my iCloud backup. They have no feature to upload from iCloud backups either. I hate this app.

I’ve used this app since 2012. I had voice memos on there from 2012. earlier this week it all disappeared. Nearly a decade of history erased. And i don’t know how it happened or how to get it back. I just opened it one day to find everything gone. Don’t trust this app like I did. I’m so heartbroken. Unless there’s a solution to this bug that brings everything back Im never using this again.

I had 5+ years of music ideas on the app (I paid for the upgrade) and then one day it all was gone. Tried to contact the developer - totally fraudulent. They ask questions on the contact us page about what device (doesn’t go higher than iPhone 8 in the drop down menu) and what OS (no more current than Mac OS 10.7). Then when you try to submit it goes to a page about buying random domains. Can’t trust this app with your info. Stay away!

So anything over five minutes can’t be shared without an “upgrade”. and no way to edit the recordings. Bogus

Great — except it needs a sorting feature. Right after recording, the recording gets lost and I’m forced to search and search through all of my recordings. Huge waste of time. I might need to find a new app that is able to keep files sorted, sadly.

Whenever I try deleting an audio file, the app just crashes.

It’s an amazing app! But... the sound is very small. When I turned on my speaker to full volume, it was still very small... please look into that! This app is amazing though!! :)

Do not buy! False advertising, requires to upgrade to share audio longer than 5 minutes. I made a recording some years ago that is 5 minutes and 5 seconds. Now, it asks me to upgrade when I try to export it. There is not even the way to edit and cut the recording to the first 5 minutes. This is truly unethical and poor business model. If you need to record something don’t rely on this app, use the Voice Memos, at least you know you will not have to pay for your recordings latter.

I used this to record my audio during a Skype call, but when I was finished I couldn’t send the audio to the editor of the podcast without paying. Really not impressed.

I’ve been using this app for years for it’s simplicity, but it drives me crazy that I can’t sort my recordings! Please, add sorting for eitjer date or title fields, please!!!

I love this app but it has one single fault NO SORTING FEATURE This should be a given ability for an app of this type. I make several recordings at a time 10-15 in a give time frame then as I go back to rename them from “My Recording” I regularly find they have been jumbled up with no rhyme to the new order. I currently have over 300 recordings and searching through all of them to find the ones I just made is a big pain. I would think having even a default sort field in the settings would be easy to do. Dynamic sorting would not have to be there but a static choice in settings would be good something I would pay for

I went to save a recording and I was asked to pay a dollar to save it! This app is supposed to be free!!! Also I was unable to cancel their request for payment! One star because they have misleading advertising!!

I had a very important presentation to do for work. I used this app to record notes. When I got home I only received an error notice when opening the file. The customer support link took me to a dead website.

I use to be able to put the name of my recording. Now all of a sudden when I try it the save and cancel buttons are at the top of my page and it won’t allow me to bring it down to tap on it. It’s as if the page is too big for my tablet and it only sticks out far enough for me to see what it is , but not enough for me to tap on it. This is a mess. I can’t go back to what I want to hear without just pushing random recording’s to find it.🙄

Just recently tried to upgrade the app for 0.99c and right after buying the in-app purchase it deleted all my recordings. I had really valuable information in there and now it’s all gone...be careful if you decide to use this app.

My recordings are randomly ordered and makes it hard to find things. Please add this feature or have some default order by date or by name. I am ready to switch the app of this is not being fixed. I don’t feel this was an issue before.

A good voice recorder is so hard to find. How could anyone have a problem with this? Easy to use, simple interface, no ads popping up, no complex design resembling a maze, doesn’t challenge you to figure out how to record or play. So far so good, it’s beautiful.

I love this app- I have four years of my deepest thoughts and poetry and philosophy on here- but the files get jumbled and I can’t keep track of them. They are not completely in chronological order and files move around when you name them. What appears to be the most recent file is from 2017 while my last post from 5 minutes ago (2019) is hidden somewhere in a large list of files. Fix this for me and I would upgrade to premium!

I’ve had this app for quite some time and had quite a collection of voice recordings. I was wanting to send a longer recording and it said I had to pay to upgrade to do so. When I did, it corrupted 3/4 of my files!!!! Waste of money, AND I lost a bunch of recordings. Users beware.....

Don’t bother with this app. It stopped working with the latest update and I need to buy a new phone today and will lose all of my business and personal recordings

I would just like to make it clear that “Send voice emails up to 5Min” refers to exporting, period. Therefore, if you plan to record anything over 5 minutes that you would like to export in any way (email, text, some cloud storage service, etc) it will be stuck on your device and useless unless you pay to upgrade. Not cool.

I originally liked the QuickVoice app however after I paid for an iCloud back up my recordings disappeared from my phone. I’ve reached out to support and haven’t heard anything! I would love to have my recordings back!

It works well for recording lectures and using them to play back to take more detailed notes. Could REALLY use a “Sort By” option so entries could be viewed in chronological order though.

Paid for the in app purchase to sync all my tracks (6 and a half years worth) to iCloud. The app then ERASED all my tracks. I just lost everything. Wish I played it back and recorded to another device. NEVER use this app. Stick with the standard apple apps, they work better and faster, sync seamlessly, and you won't lose a thing.

This app charges 1.99 for iCloud sync which was charged to apple account. But there is no way to retrieve recordings. Last week also sent an email. They don’t respond to customer queries. Apple please look into it.

I use this app all the time and love it. Recently it’s started being buggy. Now when I create a recording it disappears into a random order into all my other recordings. The recordings use to be in date order.

Too many limitations. Biggest irritation is no way to organize your files. Neither by date nor by title can you arrange recordings. So if you have 60 recordings on 60 different dates spanning across multiple years they will all be in random non-order. No way to change this. Stupid. Will be deleting.

Love this app, but it gets annoying when my recordings get sorted in a random order. It does not follow the name, kind, or date, and I waste a lot of my time scrolling through the list to find the particular recording I am looking for. Will return to change my rating after the problem gets fixed

Suddenly the app has randomized the position of all recordings. They used to be in date order but now are all over the place. I record something and it bounces into the group of older recordings and I can not find it. This is a very stupid decision by the app developer. Find another app that records voice.

I think this is a great app, doesn’t use that much memory or battery when recording. I also use it for meetings, and when transcribing them, rewind is not so accurate so I end up listening to the same thing over and over trying to get to the place I want. If you could improve the rewind/fast forward to be more accurate, it’d be a 5-star app. 15-second rewind as another reviewer suggested would be great.

I’ve been using this app for a long time. I finally switched to a new iPad and when i started using the app again, all of the voice memos are at random order for some reason. I tried looking everywhere, but there isn’t an option to sort the recordings by date or name. I at least need them to be in order from oldest (up) to newest (down)

I was prompted to upgrade and have all of my recordings backed up safely to the cloud. I spent the dollar and watched all of my recordings disappear. Super. Thanks.
